Two days after the Prime Minister's speech in the face of containment, the health authorities have identified 359 deaths linked to Covid-19 in hospitals this Saturday in the past 24 hours.

As of Friday, we already deplored 932 new deaths, nearly half of which in nursing homes and social medical establishments.

At least 44,246 people have succumbed to the disease since the start of the epidemic in France, including 30,507 in hospitals.

Some 32,095 people have also tested positive for the coronavirus since Friday, against 23,794 the day before.

The positivity rate of the tests reached 17.3% this Saturday

4,855 people in intensive care

New intensive care admissions also continue to increase.

327 patients were admitted in 24 hours to intensive care, bringing the number of beds occupied in these departments to 4855. This indicator is particularly observed by the authorities, who fear an influx of patients who would clog emergency and intensive care departments .

The number of Covid-19 patients currently hospitalized also stands at 32,468, or 2,202 more than the day before.

Finally, 3,698 new clusters (foci of infection grouping together "at least three confirmed or probable cases, in a period of seven days", according to the definition given by Public Health France) are being investigated.
