"In an ideal world we would have liked to have the global launch on the same day," says Ryan.
"We just need a few extra days to get things in order and be able to do a proper, professional PlayStation-style launch."

Despite these challenges the company has faced, Ryan believes that the PS5 launch is surely "Sony's most extraordinary".
