The Airports Authority announced that starting today (Sunday), the entire registration process for all flights and the security check on international flights will move from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1, following infrastructure work to be carried out in Terminal 3 over the coming weeks.

During the transfer of operations to Terminal 1, the Airports Authority will carry out operations to upgrade the infrastructure in the sorting system.

The Airports Authority said that the upgrade work was planned in advance and some of it was carried out at the beginning of the month and will last about two months.

After the inspection process, passengers will be transferred to the duty-free complex located in Terminal 3 on buses waiting for passengers exiting Terminal 1. The Airports Authority emphasizes that the parking lot adjacent to Terminal 1 is open to the flying public.

It is important to emphasize that all pilots in EL AL will continue to go through the security check and check-in process at Terminal 3. At this stage, EL AL operates a very limited number of flights.

Currently, there are only two green countries that accept Israeli passengers: the first is Rwanda in Africa, to which several flights depart each week, and the second is Seychelles, to which flights will begin in the middle of the week.

In the first phase, only Air Seychelles and Arkia will operate flights to the destination, and later El Al will join them.

Airlines are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the possibility of Israelis entering the United Arab Emirates.

FLY DUBAI flights are scheduled to start next week, and a few days later Israir and Arkia are scheduled to take off there, when Israelis are still not allowed to enter the country with an Israeli passport without a visa.
