The prosecutor Emilio Pisante and the prosecutor Grazia Pradella had asked for three years and four months for Bellomo, one year and four months for Nalin.
This is the first criminal trial that goes to sentence for the two magistrates. Bellomo and Nalin are defended by Professor Vittorio Manes and by the lawyer Beniamino Migliucci. The gup from Piacenza, at the end of the abbreviated trial, which began in July 2018 and who experienced a series of postponements and saw a technical report on the young woman who had made the complaint, therefore ended with a double acquittal. The fellow withdrew the lawsuit in September 2018, after a conciliation between the parties. In Bari Bellomo and Nalin were indicted for mistreatment of fellow scholars, with trial starting on 3 December.
