French radio station Radio France Internationale apologized after being confronted with a "technical problem", she said

This is arguably one of the most feared scenarios in the media.

French radio RFI on Monday apologized for having mistakenly published the obituaries of many personalities, including footballer Pelé, Queen Elizabeth II and Brigitte Bardot, citing a "technical problem".

“A technical problem has resulted in the publication of numerous obituaries on our site.

We are mobilized to rectify this major bug and apologize to the people concerned as well as to you who follow us and trust us ”, underlined the international public radio on its Twitter account.

🔴 A technical problem has resulted in the publication of numerous obituaries on our site.

This "major bug" has sparked many reactions on social networks, between confusion, (in) understanding or mockery.

Among the personalities evoked in these necros were leaders like Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, former US President Jimmy Carter, Cuban leader Raul Castro, football giant Pelé, but also actors and actresses: Clint Eastwood, Sophia Loren , Brigitte Bardot, Jean-Paul Belmondo ... but also the former minister and ex-president of OM Bernard Tapie, who has already been confronted several times with similar errors (Le Monde had published its obituary a little more ago of a year, and the channel L'Equipe had briefly announced his death in a banner, in August).
