Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded today (Monday) to a modern announcement that the corona vaccine developed by the company is effective in about 94% of cases.

"These are excellent news for the State of Israel. As early as June, I landed with Health Minister Yuli Edelstein to sign an agreement to supply vaccines with a modern company," Netanyahu said, adding: "My goal is to bring as many vaccines, from as many sources, to as many citizens as possible. . "

Moderna's experimental group numbered 30,000 volunteers from around the world, half of whom received a true vaccine while the other half received a placebo injection.

Of the volunteers, only 95 contracted coronary heart disease and only five of them were vaccinated.

This is a better efficacy rate than that of the American competitor "Pfizer", but the real advantage of the Modern vaccine is that it can be kept for up to six months in a standard home freezer, and up to a month in a home refrigerator, unlike Pfizer vaccine which requires special deep freezing, which makes it difficult For his leadership.

Modern CEO Stephen Bensell said in response to the publication: "This is a positive preoperative analysis of the third phase of the study and it has given us first clinical confirmation that our vaccine can prevent coronary heart disease, including severe manifestations of the disease."

The State of Israel has an agreement with a modern company for the distribution of vaccines, an agreement signed in June.

The company's CEO, Stephen Bensell, announced in early October that the rate of vaccine development was progressing as expected and the results so far were encouraging, but mass distribution was likely to be delayed. The green will be given in April 2021.
