ROME (ANSA) - ROME, NOV 15 - Over 8 thousand in the weekend in Rome were the checks carried out by the traffic police to verify compliance with anti-covid regulations.
Particular attention is paid both to the formation of possible gatherings in the parks and in the areas of commercial and tourist interest, and to the observance of the other provisions for the containment of the epidemiological emergency, with targeted checks also in the evening and night.
Over 350 agents engaged in the weekend for anti-covid control activities: from the Roman coast to the historic center.
During the curfew, more than 500 vehicles were stopped by the agents of the Local Police in the nights of Friday and Saturday: about ten cases for which the sanction was issued as without a justified circular reason, according to the provisions of the DPCM of 03 November 2020.
An anti-gathering surveillance also aimed at ensuring compliance with the rules by public places and commercial activities.
About twenty violations were found during evening checks, especially by minimarkets, for the sale of alcohol after hours, and by some businesses that continued to provide food and drinks on the spot beyond the allowed hours.
Other offenses concerned the non-use of protective devices by employees of the premises and the absence of sanitizing products.
On the other hand, a dozen people sanctioned for non-use of the mask.
