The Ministry of Education published today (Monday) the morbidity data in the education system among kindergarten children, special education students and school students.

The data show that the morbidity is relatively low.

The picture of morbidity reflected is particularly significant in the run-up to the expansion of learning in other classes and age groups.

However, in contrast to these encouraging data in general morbidity there is an upward trend.

Kindergarten morbidity data show that out of 512,555 kindergarten children, 237 were found to be ill.

This is three percent of all patients in the population, while their share in the general population is 5.61%.

In primary education, 573 patients were found out of 1,072,301 students.

The percentage of this age group of all patients is 7.24 while their share in the population is 11.74 percent.

In addition, 531 students were found to be sick in post-primary education.

Thus they constitute 6.71% of the patients in the general population, a lower percentage than their share in the population which stands at 8.82.

Compared to the encouraging data in general education, in special education a slightly different trend is recorded.

The percentage of patients from special education students is slightly higher than their share of the general population.

For example, out of 21,127 kindergarten students in special education, 22 patients were found.

This is 0.28% of all patients in the general population, while their share in the population is 0.23%.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health published today the general morbidity data.

The percentage of positives rose to 2.7, while about a week ago it stood at only 1.7.
