Apple will pay $ 113 million to put an end to the legal dispute with more than 30 US states over the case of the slowdown of the old iPhones, practiced by the company in order to manage the battery.
The latest batterygate deal, which broke out in 2017, was announced by several attorneys general, including California's Xavier Becerra.
The agreement involves 33 US states plus the District of Columbia.
"The agreement - reads a note from the Californian prosecutor - resolves the allegations according to which the company has made false statements on the batteries of the iPhone and on the software updates that have limited the performance of the phones in order to manage insufficient battery charge" .
Last March, Apple agreed on a payment of up to $ 500 million to settle a US class action lawsuit that also focused on slowing iPhone performance.
