Around four months after the death of US actress Naya Rivera in a lake in California, her estate administration and the father of her son have filed a lawsuit.
The regional administration had not given sufficient warning that it could be dangerous to swim in Lake Piru northwest of Los Angeles, according to US media reports in the document.
The body of the actress Rivera, known from the series "Glee", was discovered in the lake in July.
Investigators believe she drowned and that it was an accident.
Rivera was 33 years old.
Other day trippers found their then four-year-old son sleeping on the boat that Rivera had rented.
He said that he had been swimming with his mother, but that she had not come back into the boat.
A life jacket for adults was also found on board, a spokesman said at the time.
It is the third death among former members of the "Glee" cast.
In 2013, Cory Monteith had died after taking a heroin-alcohol mix.
Mark Salling was found dead two years ago.
At that time he had to answer in court for possession of recordings of child sexual abuse.
