The island of Bali, known as an exotic destination visited by tourists during periods of routine, has also been significantly damaged due to the corona crisis.

The situation on the island is so difficult that tourists who have recently arrived at the place have documented how the former sought-after tourist site has become a real ghost town.

The markets on the island, which were once crowded with tourists bargaining for cheap prices for the various products, look completely empty.

Even the motorcycles and tuk-tuk that once did not stop moving from place to place do not work today.

The condition of the hotels on the island shows how terrible the situation is - their occupancy is only 10%.

"There are going to be some places that will not survive this blow. Tourist sites are so desperate for revenue, that they are offering their activities at bargain prices," said tourism expert Carly Cummins.

"It is impossible not to feel sad for the businesses that are not going well. If you are lucky enough and have an income in Bali, it is as if you are in heaven."

In a video recently posted by an Australian tourist, one of the hotels on the island is seen almost completely abandoned.

The water in the hotel pool turned green because it had not been cleaned for several months, leaves were scattered in the plaza and the lobby was empty of people.

Every year about four million tourists come to the island to spend time there.

Since the outbreak of the plague, more than 73,000 Bali residents have been expelled and about 2,500 more workers have been laid off.
