Love poems to fight the fear and isolation to which the pandemic forces us.
The idea comes from a priest-writer, Don Mauro Leonardi.
At the forefront of assisting prisoners, editor of a regular column on 'Avvenire', scholar and theologian, Don Mauro also writes love novels.
And poems.
His verses entitled 'Love is not enough to love' have long been popular on social media and are the leitmotif of his new creation "Paci's diary. Love is not enough to love" (Kdp Amazon, page 349) ".
Paci is a woman, not loved by her husband, who writes a diary, a page every two days, in which she notes the details of everyday life, the feelings, pains, betrayals and passions that govern her life and that of those who stands beside.
The novel, which is in fact a collection of poetic prose, thus offers an opportunity to meditate, not only on the various aspects of existence, for better or for worse, but above all on love: the true dominant theme of his diary.
"I want the things that are in my day - it is one of the lines from Don Mauro's poem in Paci's diary - I want them to be with you. Done with you.
Tell it to yourself. And then I'll tell you only mine. What do I do? . I go in and out of your life. And you in mine. Like the needle that sews. Like the needle that goes in and out to join ".
Don Mauro's book, in addition to being pleasant to read, is also an editorial "experiment", that is, it is one of the examples of self-publishing that Amazon now offers.
