One evening at the end of October, Albrecht Broemme picks up Lego bricks.

He builds consoles out of blue and red on a green plate.

He separates them with long gray parts and forms five cubicles with white stones, in each of which he places a "Don't get angry" figure.

Broemme, 67, designs the model of a corona vaccination station.

The former head of the technical relief organization built an emergency clinic in the Berlin exhibition halls in the spring.

Now he is supposed to implement his Lego model in the capital, he is the project manager for six corona vaccination centers.

A total of up to 20,000 people a day will soon receive the longed-for spades there.

Not child's play.

The federal government expects a vaccine to be ready in the first quarter of 2021.

The exact time is uncertain, but the state wants to be prepared.

And so the Prime Minister agreed with the Chancellor at the beginning of the week to set up “vaccination centers and structures” in such a way “that they can be put into operation at short notice”.
