A job for us!
This is the title of the recruitment campaign launched urgently by Brigitte Bourguignon, Minister Delegate in charge of Autonomy, to meet the staff needs of nursing homes, exacerbated by the health crisis.
The epidemic has worsened the plight of nursing homes, which have suffered for years from chronic understaffing.
Already in her October 2019 report, former Minister Myriam El Khomri estimated the number of vacant positions in the sector at 60,000, and 200,000 retirements over the next 5 years.
If we add the arrival of the baby-boom generation to old age, it is nearly 352,600 nursing assistants and companions that should be trained by 2024.
