(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 20 - Fifty episodes of collapses, plaster detachments, fall of windows, enclosure walls and trees near the schools.
These are the ones that Cittadinanzattiva surveyed between August 2019 and November 2020, since 2013 there have been 326 episodes of this kind, since September this year 11 17,343 schools have already been registered (43% of the 40,160 Italian schools) are located in areas at risk high seismic (zone 1 and 2), areas where 4 million and 300 thousand children and young people live.
Of these schools, 4,176 have submitted requests for funding to the Ministry of Education to carry out seismic vulnerability checks, but the investigations funded are 1,564 compared to 2,612 not funded (over 60%) due to lack of funds.
These are some of the data that emerge from the Civic Observatory on safety at school, now in its 18th edition, presented today by Cittadinanzattiva.
