Police operation in Östringen: motive unclear

At a school near Karlsruhe, an argument between two teenagers has apparently escalated.
A schoolboy is said to have injured another boy with a knife, reports the "Stuttgarter Zeitung", among others, citing the police.
According to the "Badische Neuesten Nachrichten", the dispute occurred in a seventh grade at a secondary school in Östringen in the Karlsruhe district.
Accordingly, the teenager attacked with a knife suffered serious injuries.
"The situation is under control and the classes are now being sent home one after the other," said a police spokeswoman, according to media reports.
She did not provide any information about the background to the crime.
