Dozens of people met to dance in a club in the Berlin district of Lichtenberg at the weekend. The police stepped in - and filed charges against the guests and the organizer.

The Berlin police broke up a party with over 130 guests on Sunday.

The officers were called early in the morning to a club in the Lichtenberg district with loud music, the police said.

In the disco, the emergency services met over 130 people.

"The observance of the distances and the wearing of a mouth and nose cover could not be determined in their entirety," the police quoted on Twitter from the incident report.

Reports were made against those present and the organizer for violating the hygiene protection ordinance.

After the nightclub was cleared, drugs were also found.

Another complaint was made in this regard, but the drugs could not have been assigned to any of those present.

Corona party in Friedrichshain too

On Sunday noon, the police also broke up a party in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district.

After an "attentive citizen" called the officials, they first discovered a gathering of 36 people who were taking part in a political discussion.

All those present adhered to the submitted hygiene concept, the event could continue, it was said.

In an adjacent hostel, however, 52 people were discovered celebrating a party.

The personal details of all those present had been established.

Various medications and drugs - such as marijuana, ecstasy and speed - were found and confiscated here as well.

According to the police, administrative offense proceedings were initiated against all party participants for violating the current infection protection ordinance.
