In the past week, 1640 police officers searched 18 objects in Berlin in search of the burglars from the Grünes Gewölbe - three suspects were caught, two have escaped.

It was an extraordinarily big effort even for the capital.

The officials have now announced that 67 clues about the two wanted suspects had been received by Monday morning.

"There are currently no clues as to where the two fugitives are," said a spokesman for the Dresden public prosecutor's office on request.

No more "hot lead"

The investigators had already reported 40 clues on Thursday, but admitted: "So far there is no hot lead among them."

Since last Tuesday, the 21-year-old twin brothers from an Arab-born Berlin extended family have been wanted.

Together with three accomplices, they are said to have been directly involved in the theft of jewelry made of diamonds and diamonds from the 17th and 18th centuries.

The fact in November 2019 was one of the most spectacular break-ins in decades.

The arrested are suspected of aggravated gang theft and arson and are in custody.

According to information from SPIEGEL TV, all three belong to the Remmo clan.

Associated with an extended family of Arab origin, this organization is also held responsible for other major crimes.

In February, members of the clan were convicted of the spectacular theft of a 100 kilogram gold coin from the Berlin Bode Museum.
