The same goes for other accounts associated with the presidency such as @whitehouse, @VP and @FLOTUS. "Twitter is preparing to support the transition of institutional White House accounts on January 20," Twitter said

The @POTUS Twitter account will automatically switch to President-elect Joe Biden when he is sworn in, even if Donald Trump does not concede the victory to the former vice president.

The same goes for other accounts associated with the presidency such as @whitehouse, @VP and @FLOTUS.

"Twitter is preparing to support the transition of institutional White House accounts on January 20," Twitter said in a statement to Politico.
