Ingenious trick: cut all tomatoes at the same time
All you need are
two plates
, alternatively you can use plastic lids from large, round cans.
A sharp knife, ideally a special
tomato knife
, should of course also be on hand.
This is how it works:
Place the tomatoes between the two plates
or plastic lids.
Either place the lower plate the right way round and the upper plate upside down or vice versa: the lower plate upside down, place the tomatoes in the bottom ring and place the second plate on top of it the right way round.
Press lightly on the top plate, not using so much pressure to burst the tomatoes of course, but they should stay in place.
Now
cut between the plates with a large knife
and cut
all the tomatoes in half at the same time
.
Depending on the size of the tomatoes and plates, you can cut 15 to 20 tomatoes at the same time!
