A boy and a girl, in a big city who from their respective balconies through a red line for washing, exchange a letter, a rose, a falling ring.

Time passes and the boy, ideally pursuing the same ring, between streets where we are all connected by many red threads, seeks that bond because "life continues even without us".

It is the story articulated in the animated short (available for free on all platforms) created ad hoc for one of Vasco Rossi's masterpieces, Anima fragile, on the occasion of the arrival on November 27 with Sony Music of the special 'R> PLAY Edition 40th' for Colpa d'Alfredo "the third album by the rocker, released in April 1980.

Thus continues the collection of the R> PLAY series dedicated to the 40th anniversaries of Vasco Rossi's albums, which began in 2018 with the re-release of the first album "... but what do you want a song to be ...", followed in 2019 by "Non we're not Americans! '. "Projects like this are a dream for a record company - explains Stefano Patara of Sony Music) -.

Also in this case Vasco has shown us his greatness, not only for proposing the initiative but also for the enthusiasm shown in carrying it out. "

A re-edition (from 85 euros), that of Colpa d'Alfredo which includes, among others , the short, downloadable in hd; a 32-page Hardcoverbook with exclusive contents (including a long interview by Marco Mangiarotti with Vasco Rossi, who also talks about the influence on the album of his readings, from Lacan to Bakunin, and the impact of events such as the death of Pinelli) + CD and an LP. A new journey in a founding album with songs such as the title track, "Colpa d'Alfredo" (which for a famous verse, in the "goliardic" intentions, very not politically correct, it did not become the first single: "there was some problem" explains Mangiarotti,), "You didn't understand it", "Susanna", "Anima Fragile", "Alibi", "Sensazioni forti", "Tropico del cancer "," Asilo Republic 'remastered from the analog master tapes.

A process curated by the sound engineer Maurizio Biancani, historical collaborator of Vasco Rossi: "The first two albums had a progressive feel. I knew them very well having recorded and mixed them. I approached this instead in a virgin way not having worked on them" he explains in press conference via streaming Biancani, who from the next album, Siamo solo noi (to be released in a special edition next year for the fortieth anniversary) has restarted the collaboration with the rocker.

'Colpa d'Alfredo' "represents Vasco's rock turning point and Maurizio Solieri is also an important element, becoming the actual guitarist of the band at this point".

Vasco "at that time listened to the Rolling Stones and the Clash a lot" and from the original masters "exude dirtier and more direct sounds. I tried to pull them out.

Rock has to hit the listener in the face like a punch and the songs here often do. do".

And a punch in the face is also evoked by the new cover: no longer Vasco Rossi from behind, but the image that was 'fourth' in the album, actually born as a cover: Vasco in the foreground with a swollen eye.

"I don't remember how the idea was born, perhaps precisely because the songs on the album are like punches - explains photographer Mauro Balletti -. I remember that while I was shooting that afternoon I told Vasco that he looked a lot like Frank Sinatra".

Curating the editorial project together with Tania Sachs (who has always been spokesperson for the rocker) is Arturo Bertusi, who also directs the short film of Anima fragile (it is also the last song in which Curreri plays the piano for one of his Vasco), as he had already done for the short film of Jenny is crazy '.

The partnership with Rosanna Mezzanotte, author of drawings, characters and sets then animated by Tommaso Arosio and Matteo Manzini (scenes made by hand with the computer interface) is also renewed: "We felt a great responsibility towards this ballad, so personal and universal - Bertusi explains -.

Working together for 30 years, with Vasco Rossi, we have had great trust and carte blanche from him. Then there is his enthusiasm and support. He makes it clear immediately if he likes something or not and this, fortunately. , he liked it right away ".
