(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, NOVEMBER 24 - Israel will reopen starting next Sunday most of the schools that are in the yellow and green areas as a spread of the virus, while those in the red areas will still be closed. This was decided by the Interministerial Committee on Covid on the proposal of the Ministry of Education Yoav Gallant, despite the general director of the Ministry of Health Chezy Levi having warned about the "risks" that the choice entails.
In the last 24 hours, the new cases of infection have been 943 - according to the ministry data - the highest number since October 22, even if compared to 53,191 swabs. The positivity rate is relatively low and stands at 1.8%. The number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 2,811.
