GENOA - From November 23, the 'Navigare nell'Arte' collection is available online on the websites of the Galata Museo del Mare and the Paolo Clerici Foundation. The virtual tour of the Clerici Room and the Navigare nell'Arte exhibition, entirely financed by the Paolo Clerici Foundation for the Galata Museo del Mare, is the first of its kind in Liguria. The room hosts a selection of 60 paintings chosen from the collection of the Paolo Clerici Foundation which collects over 250 works, some signed by extraordinary artists such as Adam, Craffonara, De Simone, Klodic, Mohrmann and Roullet. The initiative, commissioned by Mu.MA and the Paolo Clerici Foundation, thus responds to the need for digital transformation to which museums have also been invited by the EU. Through the 360 ° virtual tour, in addition to admiring the works on display, the visitor can deepen the history of 20 paintings and 4 ship models through descriptive texts and multimedia films. The itinerary, divided into 8 exhibition areas, traces a crucial period in the history of the navy from the mid-nineteenth century to the present day. A section has also been created for the little ones to allow them to 'play with ships'. The exhibition in the room is completed by 4 ship models, some exhibited for the first time such as that of the cruiser Amalfi. The project is by ARCHH Associati with Graphnet srl.
