The world of culture is still disabled and its opening is not in sight.

Against this background, the Tel Aviv Municipality decided to take the initiative and hold small cultural events according to the conditions of the purple character, including solo performances in parks, performances in courtyards of houses and on rooftops, art exhibitions in the public space and more.

22 solo performances will be performed in parks throughout Tel Aviv in front of an audience of 20 spectators, under the title "Monologues from the Garden".

Among the actors who will star in these plays: Rami Baruch, Evelyn the Redeemer, Eyal Schechter and Yishai Golan.

Golan will appear with the play "Process Takes Place" written and directed by Arik Avigdor, who was the husband of actress Rama Messinger, who died of cancer in 2015.

In the play, Avigdor describes the process of discovering the disease and dealing with it.

The play will be performed twice tonight, at 18:30 and 20:00 in Ramat Hachayal, in the courtyard of the Beit Kimhi Community Center.

The show first aired a year and a half ago at the Teatronato Festival, and it kept running until the Corona arrived.

"In recent days I met with Eric to adapt the play to the new reality," says Golan. "We must address the fact that the play is not in a theater hall but in courtyards with minimal conditions of sound and lighting, but the story remains, and we need to see how we best tell it. .

"I am very excited to return L'thlic takes up space, this exciting and hilarious show and the audience gave this wide range of emotions, and I especially miss the stage.

The longing for the stage is really physical, I feel it in my body, and I think I can speak on behalf of a lot of actors who really feel that way.

We are more than happy to reach more houses and yards of people with the show. "

According to Golan, the corona caught him during a period of intense activity." We had a lot of plays embedded ahead, and then the corona arrived, "he says." My diary was blown up from March to May.

I had shows every day.

Along with "a process that takes place", I also acted in "Back and forth" of the Hebrew theater and was photographed for an English-speaking Israeli film called "PLAN A", in which I play Abba Kovner. "

How did you experience this fully skilled transition to complete shutdown?

"It's really an emotional roller coaster. This period evoked a lot of feelings, some very difficult. Culture and art have always been a social need that must be supported by the community, society, the government. We depend on it completely, and the thought that this profession is just over - it's a very difficult feeling. I'm 47 years old and I have dedicated my life to acting. I have never done anything but acting. I have been playing professionally for over 30 years. I became an actor out of a love of art and culture.

"Alongside these thoughts are other thoughts.

After all, there is a lot of talk about the fact that this epidemic is a catalyst for all kinds of processes, so if they were sick in the world of culture - they too are flooded.

It made me do a very deep mental arithmetic with myself.

The question arises what is our relevance in the world today?

The answer to it is complicated but in my case it is not theoretical, it is a question that directly affects my life. "

And what do you answer to yourself?

" That there is no substitute for the live show, but that now he will also have to re-justify himself.

It is clear to me that the audience will miss watching a live show very much and will not be satisfied with just Netflix and the screens, which are far from satisfying the excitement of the theater.

But our responsibility, as performers, is to really provide an alternative experience to what the screen provides.

It is clear to me that the meeting with the audience will change. "
