Coronavirus in Argentina: 7,164 new cases and 311 deaths are reported in the last 24 hours

While details of the Government's vaccination plan are beginning to be known, the Ministry of Health of the Nation reported 7,164 new cases of coronavirus and 311 deaths (169 men and 142 women).

With these registries, there are 1,381,795 positives in the country, of which 1,210,634 are recovered patients and

133,729 are active confirmed cases.

At the moment the number of deceased people is 37,432.

Regarding the monitoring of inmates and beds in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), they confirmed that there are 4,148 adults hospitalized for COVID-19,

with a total occupancy percentage of 57.1% in the Nation and 59.2% in the AMBA.

This Tuesday the report highlighted that Buenos Aires, with 1,929 infected, was the province that registered the most cases.

Santa Fe (1,187), San Juan (493), Neuquén (485), Córdoba (471), Tucumán (455), City of Buenos Aires (250), Río Negro (234), Chubut (227) continue.

They are followed by Mendoza (198), San Luis (178), Chaco (177), Entre Ríos (177), Tierra del Fuego (109), Salta (97), Corrientes (92), Santiago del Estero (75), La Pampa (61), Jujuy (20), La Rioja (16), Catamarca (13), Misiones (10) and Formosa (2).

In the last 24 hours, 22,043 tests were carried out and 3,712,880 diagnostic tests for this disease were carried out since the beginning of the outbreak, which is equivalent to 81,823 samples per million inhabitants.

Meanwhile, the different governments of the Argentine provinces are already evaluating how they will coordinate operations to vaccinate against the coronavirus when the doses acquired by the National Government begin to reach their territories.

Officials consulted by the Télam news agency pointed out that "

it will be the most ambitious campaign in the entire health history

" and admitted that they see it as "a challenge never carried out before."

In another not very encouraging data that has a lot to do with this pandemic, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) reported this Mars that economic activity fell 6.9% year-on-year in September.

On another issue related to Covid-19, the National Directorate of Migration (DNM) reported that visitors from neighboring countries who want to enter Argentina must present, within 48 hours prior to arrival, an electronic affidavit in which they record the absence of compatible symptoms of Covid-19, a PCR analysis with a negative result up to 72 hours before the trip and medical insurance.
