Covid-19 in France: 454 new deaths, the threshold of 50,000 deaths crossed

In total, 34,399 people have died in hospital since the start of the epidemic in France and 15,838 in social and medico-social establishments.

Some 269 Covid-19 patients have been hospitalized in intensive care in the last 24 hours, compared to 244 Monday, 171 Sunday and 220 Saturday.

The health authorities now have 4,289 patients treated in these specialized services, against 4,438 severe cases recorded the day before.

1,781 new hospital admissions

A total of 30,622 people remain hospitalized in the country for SARS-CoV-2 infection.

A figure that continues to decline slightly after the increase recorded on Sunday (to 31,522 patients).

In the past 24 hours, hospitals have registered 1,781 new admissions.

The number of contaminations recorded since Monday stands at 9155. Among these cases, 1665 were detected thanks to antigenic tests.

The positivity rate of tests (proportion of the number of positive people compared to the total number of people tested) continues to fall: 13.1% this Tuesday against 13.3% the day before.
