The CDM has given the green light to the legislative decree scheme that designs the new constituencies after the green light for the reform for the cut of parliamentarians

Minister Federico D'Incà announces it.
"I am very satisfied with the approval of the draft legislative decree, to be sent to the Chambers, for the design of the new constituencies. In this way we will immediately allow them to be adapted to the reduction in the number of parliamentarians. The government has fully adopted the proposal of the technical commission - composed of ten experts on the subject and chaired by the president of Istat - without exercising any form of political discretion because it is necessary to ensure maximum neutrality in the territorial delineation of the colleges "and also transparency.
"All the documents and data relevant to analyze the design of single and multi-member colleges and the control of the balance of the choices made will be transmitted to the Chambers and published on the website of the Department for Institutional Reforms, with a view to maximum transparency", underlines D'Incà.
"The timely adoption of the legislative decree represents a necessary constitutional fulfillment pending the approval of the new electoral reform being examined by the Chambers", he concludes.
