Reduced confinement: the certificate still necessary, travel allowed within a radius of 20 km

The derogatory travel certificate will continue to be part of everyday life. But to go further, especially during walks.


Jean Castex had already warned mid-November: a certificate will always be necessary to travel in the coming weeks.

Emmanuel Macron confirmed it this Tuesday evening, during his speech.

"The certificate system will remain in force," confirmed the Head of State.

We will have to continue to stay at home, telework and give up unnecessary travel ”.

The certificate will nevertheless undergo some modifications.

Major change: the 1 km limit is repealed.

From Saturday, each French person will be able to travel for a walk or a physical activity within a radius of 20 km and for 3 hours.

A curfew will be implemented from December 15, the end date of confinement, but with exceptions for the nights of December 24 and 31.

As since the reconfinement, the certificate can still be downloaded here but can also be completed directly online.

It will be possible to print the document of your choice and then complete it or to write your own certificate on plain paper based on the official model.

As a reminder, those who leave without a certificate or without a valid reason risk a fine of 135 euros.

E case of repeated offense within 15 days: a fine of 200 euros, increased to 450 euros (in the event of non-payment or non-dispute within the time limit indicated on the notice of violation).

In the event of a double recidivism (therefore three offenses), the penalty incurred increases to six months in prison and a fine of 3,750 euros.
