(ANSA) - PESARO, NOV 24 - The premiere of the Barber of Seville produced by the Rossini Opera Festival 2020 will be broadcasted free of charge on Wednesday 25 November at 8 pm on the ANSA website www.ansa.it and on the social pages of the agency as part of the initiative 'ANSA for culture' which the press agency hosts on its website streaming from the main Italian theaters, and on the festival's social channels.

Rossini's masterpiece is proposed in the resumption of the 2018 staging with direction, sets and this one by PierLuigi Pizzi, live from the Rossini Theater in Pesaro, without audience, as part of the autumn session of the Rof.

MicheleSpotti conducts the G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra and the Chorus of the Ventidio Basso Theater (chorus master Giovanni Farina).

Nelcast Juan Francisco Gatell (Conte d'Almaviva), Carlo Lepore (Bartolo), Aya Wakizono (Rosina), Iurii Samoilov (Figaro), Michele Pertusi (Basilio), Elena Zilio (Berta) and William Corrò (Fiorello / Officer).

The show will be repeated on Sunday 29th November at 5pm, in free streaming on the festival's social channels.

Also scheduled in the autumn session of the Rof on Thursday 26 and Saturday 28 November at 8 pm the classic Journey to Reims, conceived by Emilio Sagi and taken up by Matteo Anselmi, with Alessandro Cadario conducting the G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra and a singing company formed by the students of the Rossiniana Academy "Alberto Zedda" 2020 and by some alumni of the past editions, in streaming on the festival's social channels.
