"Solidarity, with the undocumented", several hundred people gathered Tuesday evening in the calm, Place de la République in Paris.
The demonstrators came to protest against the violent evacuation the day before of a migrant camp whose images shocked even the Minister of the Interior.

"The images that you saw, you saw them because it took place in Paris" says Valérie Osouf, director and association activist.
"But it is the daily life of the exiles, their daily life for more than 4 years".
Two investigations were opened Tuesday by the Paris prosecutor's office into facts of "violence" on a migrant and on a journalist, of which police officers are suspected during the operation on Monday evening.
