A new medical report was learned about the health of Abigail Jiménez, the girl with cancer

that shocked the country

and was transferred from Santiago del Estero to Buenos Aires.

The 12-year-old girl arrived at the Austral de Pilar hospital during a medical flight this Tuesday morning.

According to official information from the health center, Abigail was admitted at 11.30 am with an "advanced picture of Ewing's sarcoma", the malignant tumor that affects her.

The medical report indicates that the little girl was received by the Maternal and Child Department, with the participation of Pediatrics, Child Oncology, Oncological Orthopedics and general care.

"She will remain in a general

hospital

room on the pediatric floor and

in the coming days the clinical situation will be reassessed

to agree with the family on the best possible course for her," the doctors explained.

And it is added: "We will provide more information according to the evolution. We appreciate the interest, prayers and

respect for the privacy of the girl and her family."

The medical plane that brought Abigail took off at 9:40 from Santiago del Estero and arrived at the San Fernando airport, from where she was transferred to Pilar.

In Austral they will carry out an interconsultation to evaluate the baby's condition, who suffers from Ewing's sarcoma, a type of cancer that occurs in the bones or in the soft tissue around the bones.

Marta, an aunt of the girl, told Clarín that at midnight on Monday, the little girl "began to feel bad, began to raise a fever and became unbalanced. There

we decided to ask for help."

Last week, Abigail was returning from Tucumán, from an oncology control, when

the Santiago police prevented her from entering

that province because she did not have the corresponding documentation, according to the father, who took her out of the car in which they were moving and did it cross the provincial boundary raised in arms.

The case had a great repercussion and triggered an internal investigation in the Santiago police, an apology from the governor of Gerardo Zamora and the rejection of broad sectors of society.
