(ANSA) - BOLZANO, 25 NOV - The Austrian government has set the timetable for mass screening with a rapid tampon.
It will start with Vorarlberg and Tirolo from 4 to 6 December, followed by the land of Salzburg and Upper Austria from 12 to 13 December.
At the same time, all policemen will be tested on a national level from 7 to 8 December.
In a second phase, Vienna and the other densely populated laender will follow.
Chancellor Sebastian Kurz announced that next week the council of ministers will establish reopenings after the total lockdown, starting from school and commerce.
"Numbers of infections are decreasing, but they are still high", underlined Kurz, reiterating his appeal for caution.
Screenings "are not the end of the pandemic," added health minister Rudolf Anschober.
