(ANSA) - MILAN, NOV 25 - Snam is getting greener and expects to reach carbon neutrality by 2040, reducing direct and indirect CO2 emissions by 50% in 2030. This is what the Group announces in its 2020-2024 Strategic Plan. Thanks to the energy transition processes put in place, Snam expects to avoid the emission of over 600 thousand tons of carbon dioxide by the end of the Plan, which provides for investments of 7.4 billion euros by 2024. Of these, 6.7 billion are destined for investments in regulated energy infrastructures, focused on replacements to prepare the network for the use of hydrogen ('hydrogen ready'), on digitalisation, decarbonisation and Sardinia. About half of the investments are dedicated to hydrogen and 220 million to biomethane. (HANDLE).
