After Instagram, Snapchat also launches a TikTok clone.
It's called Spotlight, and it gathers in a dedicated section the short videos - 60 seconds maximum - produced by users, to be browsed vertically just like TikTok.
And to entice you to publish regularly, the app will pay users: there's a million dollars a day up for grabs until the end of the year, which will be divided among those who post the most popular videos.
"We designed Spotlight to entertain our community while respecting Snapchat's values, with the well-being of users as a top priority," the company explains in a note, in which it highlights that content will be moderated and - unlike TikTok - will not be allowed. make public comments.
Spotlight is available immediately in 11 countries, not including Italy (the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and France).
In other countries the new section "will arrive soon".
