(ANSA) - ROME, NOVEMBER 24 - A guarantee mark for glass packaging.

The "made in glass", the new logo launched by the European industry of the sector, wants to "certify" at a glance the qualities and benefits for health and the environment linked to the choice of products packaged in glass.

From now on available for use, the new logo will thus be able to give added value to all "glass" products, in bottles, jars or flacons.

The new brand was officially presented today in Brussels in an online event as part of the European week for waste reduction, and saw the participation of representatives of the European glass industry, together with Arnaud Warusfel, Packaging Development Manager of Bonduelle, a manufacturer of plant-based foods, and Simona Salcudeanu, researcher at InsitesConsulting and Eyeka Creative Crowdsourcing.

The brand, to be used on glass packaging for food and beverages and also for pharmaceuticals, perfumes and cosmetics, is the result of a year-long collaborative effort between industry, designers, customers and consumers to create a recognizable and representative symbol of the qualities of a glass container: food safety, impermeability to liquids and microorganisms, sterilization, perfect conservation of liquids and foods, up to its total and infinite recycling.
