The series in question about the Yom Kippur War has not yet come to an end, but it can already be stated that what she did, no history lesson could do • Opinion

The "Lock Hour" series has not yet ended, but the summary stage has already begun.

The critique and discourse surrounding the drama series "Here 11" has created many discussions for and against the series already after the broadcast of the first episode, and they are only getting hotter.

There is no doubt that this series touched a particularly sensitive place, in Israeli society in general and for the warriors who fought at the front and saw everything in reality in particular and more so, and therefore any criticism of the series deserves attention.

However, it must not be forgotten that the nature of series and films based on a true story but not an absolute reflection of reality, so "Lock Hour" is not a documentary series but the product of the imagination of its creators.

• "Lock Hour": Soundtrack of Hell

• The real heroes of the war

• The smell of the warriors' fear

• When Effi with them stopped the Syrian tanks - in his body

In my military service, I was often exposed to a situation in which soldiers were asked who were chiefs of staff and prime ministers in the Israeli wars, and unfortunately, not many of them knew the answers. I can testify that in my generation, children in the 80s and 90s, school history was not yet The establishment of the state until the establishment of the State of Israel.

The subject of Israel's battle heritage has hardly been studied because of the little politics it has provoked, and stories that are part of our very existence in this country have simply not reached the ears of the students.

The need to know the subject is heightened by the fact that many of the fighters find it difficult to tell about their experiences in the wars and operations in which they participated, and many of them face battle shock to this day.

Only recently did the actor of the series, Imri Bitton, mention in a special discussion in the subcommittee on post-trauma treatment in the Knesset, that it took him 13 years to realize that he was in post-trauma from his fight in the Second Lebanon War.

In terms of trauma, the distance from the war that took place in 1973 can feel like a day.

Actors Aviv Alush (Yoav), Ofer Hayun (Marco), Omer Perlman (Caspi) said that they experienced post-trauma only from the filming of the series, which eliminates the criticism that there is no "feeling of war" in "Lock Hour".

The critique that the scenarios in the series distort reality is also not very relevant, since, as mentioned, the characters in the series are not real and the creators did not pretend to imitate reality one by one.

What is certain beyond a shadow of a doubt is that after all the criticism that is so easy to shed, we will be left with a strong memory of scenes based on real events, a growing interest in the Israeli wars and hundreds of thousands of teens who got a charged and emotional glimpse into what they never learned in school.

• "Lock Hour": The actor who stole the war

• "Lock time": an open and breathtaking wound

• "'Lock time' is going to explode on the world"

And this is the greatness of "Lock Hour," which transcends all criticism.

She made us explore and discover new stories from those days that without the series, we would not have heard of them.

As "Eli" introduced us to the spy Eli Cohen, "The Dive Site in the Red Sea" told us the story of Ethiopian Jews' immigration through Sudan and "Eva's History" exposed children and youth all over the world to the horrors of the Holocaust, as did "Lock Hour" It has already made its mark on us, weeks before it ended.
