Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem will receive critically ill and life-threatening patients from Cyprus, the country reported today (Thursday).

It should be noted that the conditions of arrival in Israel will be that the patients are not sick with the corona virus.

This is because of the attempt to alleviate the great pressure that the hospitals are in the country following the increase in the number of infected on the neighboring island.

According to the report, patients will need to obtain a special permit from the Israeli Ministry of Health before traveling and in addition present a negative corona test upon arrival in the country.

At the same time it was reported that the hospital will continue to hold online consultations with the various hospitals in Cyprus.

Last week, it was announced on the island that Hadassah Medical is in advanced talks with the company that manages the medical centers in Cyprus in order to begin cooperation between the two and the establishment of a medical center and hospital complex in the cities of Limassol and Nicosia.

According to the publication, Hadassah plans to invest over 150 million euros in the centers, which will open between 2021-2024.

The hospital in Nicosia will open on an area of ​​23,000 square meters and will provide medical services in a variety of areas, some of which do not exist in the country today. The project is expected to create over 1,500 new jobs for residents.
