The Rt index of coronavirus spread in the UK is back under control
,
below the safety threshold 1 at the national level for the first time since August
. This is certified by the calculations released today by the medical and scientific consultants of Boris Johnson's executive: currently estimating an average level between 0.9 and 1 in the country (compared to 1-1.1 in recent weeks), against the background of the imposed lockdown bis by the Tory government throughout England from November 4th to December 2nd. During the spring peak, the Rt index reached 3 in the United Kingdom. Infections, consultants warn, however, remain higher than average in various counties in the north of England, as well as in Wales and Northern Ireland.
