DHL: Customer sends a package with special content
The content of the package was extremely important for DHL customer Nico E., as reported by the “DerWesten” platform.
It contained
hard drives from electronic devices
that had broken.
Buying new ones was out of the question for him because it was difficult and expensive for him to get.
So he sent it to a
friend from the Bremen area
who was familiar with repairing such hardware.
At first there were no problems: the hard drives were repaired within a few days and sent back to Nico E.
It only became difficult when he
redirected
the shipment
to a packing station via the app
, as he was on vacation at the time of the planned delivery.
The parcel made it to the destination parcel center - but from then on nothing happened and Nico E. began to have doubts: "I had the first suspicion that something was wrong there," "DerWesten" quotes him.

DHL: The shipment can no longer be found
A call to DHL could not provide more clarity, however.
There he was only assured that his
package was on the way
and would be delivered within two days.
Instead, however, there were
several unsuccessful delivery attempts
within a week until the package was finally returned to the sender as "undeliverable".
That also meant waiting again anxiously for Nico E .: "I have seldom shivered like this, because the package contained
irreplaceable goods
".
Only after 18 calendar days could his friend receive the hard drives again.
Sending the parcel a second time with DHL took
some effort
: "I jokingly asked him whether I should come by car from Münster to Bremen in order to pick up the parcel myself."
However, DHL was able to use the second chance, perhaps also because the two of them addressed the parcel to a packing station right from the start.
