Covid: record in Japan, 2,688 cases in 24 hours

The

Japan recorded its record of new cases since the beginning of the pandemic

: 2,688 infections in a single day.

This was announced by the Japanese Ministry of Health, according to international media reports.

There is also a peak of admissions (440) in intensive care in the country which for days has announced that it fears a third wave of the epidemic.

Of the new cases, 561 were reported in Tokyo which for the second day records a record of infections at 40,210.

The French Council of State has ordered the government to

review its decree within three days which limits the number of faithful

authorized to participate in religious ceremonies

to 30 people

. "The Prime Minister must modify the provisions within three days, adopting strictly proportionate measures to supervise rallies and meetings in religious buildings", decided the highest French administrative court. The pronouncement came after the French Bishops' Conference on Friday filed an appeal with the Council of State against the government's decision.
