The headgear of her father Danino and Miriam Zarog, residents of the "Komi Uri" outpost near Yitzhar, has shaken the network in the past week.

It all started when the two arrived at the Channel 20 main story studio to serve as a voice for the locals and talk about the latest charged events that took place there, but instead of starring in political headlines, the two became network stars within hours thanks to the unique headgear they presented.

Some made fun of them, some complimented and some had a hard time understanding how all this construction is on their head all day.

Designed and large headdresses are not a new phenomenon, but rather a legitimate fashion item for married national religious women.

Over the years, headgear has improved, and today there are women who are engaged in the accessibility of the field.

Some women have even become fashion bloggers and fashionistas with quite a few followers.

Handkerchief: Chameleon

One of them is Hani Rich, with almost 10,000 followers on Instagram.

In addition to maintaining her beautiful account she is a fashion producer and business owner for handkerchief making workshops so she teaches others how to wear their headgear.

"The idea of the workshop is that girls make themselves a combined handkerchief and designed completely by hand and without a machine. After the workshop I hold a tying workshop (detailed instruction on types of tying) with the handkerchiefs that the girls made in the workshop," she says.

A handkerchief has always been a part of your accessories?

"After the wedding it was clear to me that I would wear a headdress, it's part of the tradition and it's also what I saw at home and in the environment where I grew up. A year after the marriage I did not like what I see in the mirror, I was amazed every day to cover my beautiful hair. "My and my look at the headdress took a turn. Suddenly the handkerchief is an interesting accessory that is added to the wear, suddenly people stop me on the street and ask where to buy."

How about the big handkerchiefs of the local Uri girls?

"The religious public is made up of societies, and in every area and every society different dress customs are accepted. There are religious areas that going with a handkerchief (and not a ribbon or bow) will look and feel excessive and large and there are areas that the bigger and taller the handkerchief is more style. Attitude, society and location. In recent years, the 'Rachel Emnu' tying style - tying with a high triangular handkerchief that leaves a trail behind, has entered the general religious public strongly. "'Thrown' to modernity and as an integral part of the style. Slowly, more and more women who once feared a large and trail-bound tie that are reminiscent of the images from the sources, are starting to renew their days as before."

With the handkerchief in Master Chef

You probably remember Eleanor Rahamim (32), married to Adiel and a mother of four sweet sons from Tekoa, seven years ago from Master Chef.

"I came with a smooth blue headdress, with a small bow on the side and even then it was really interesting and talk was created around it," she recalls.

"It's not something you are not used to seeing every day in prime time."

She said, "Coverage has been an integral part of me since I got married. At first it was just a religious sign that I was a married woman, and over the years it has become part of my character in the world. I am proud to walk around with a colorful handkerchief on my head wherever I go and I feel the handkerchief tells "My story without many words. The handkerchief is an impressive accessory, and today you can find a wide range of covers from many designers, each designer and her style. I have more handkerchiefs than clothes, and each handkerchief blends in with a different garment and upgrades the look."

On the headdresses that made headlines, Rahamim says, "I love our courage, the women, to choose what is right for us. Even in our looks. A headscarf should not be an old-fashioned and annoying item, it can be interesting and give us a good feeling, that we look right for us The whole world of fashion and styling has been flourishing in recent years, and the religious sector is also a part of it. In my opinion, the girls' headdress is really not excessive. Some will say that my coverage is also excessive and in my opinion it's me. Like I will not look at someone with a high heel and say it is excessive "He wears heels. Maybe it's new, maybe it's a little different from what we're usually seen on TV so it's garnered a lot of reactions. The handkerchief brings with it definitions, just as a wig brings with it definitions and like dreadlocks bring with them definitions.

Headdress as a jewel

Uriah Ahuvim (22) conducts workshops for tying headgear, models for headdress brands, is a fashion blogger on Instagram and is an elementary school teacher.

What are your tips for a successful head covering?

"It is important to find a comfortable base under the handkerchief so that it does not move and slip during the day (non-slip film, bobo and such and other volumes). Choose your style, there are so many tying styles today, from loose to neat and tight. The most fun is to vary, one handkerchief Can look completely different with each tie. Another important tip is to dare to combine different colors, prints, textures and fabric thickness. The neck is heavier. "

According to lovers, Uri's girls' headgear is a bit exaggerated, but she is reluctant and says: "Everyone has a different style, and I think everyone should feel proud of who and what they are. Wearing headgear is an everyday choice that can be complex and challenging at times but is part of me and me. "Just like there are styles in clothes and jewelry, so there are different styles in headgear."
