Prof. Hezi Levy in an interview with the High Court of Justice: "There are several tools for dealing with the disease situation, not necessarily closure, we are debating the issue"

"Opening the economy too fast"
Meanwhile, the director general of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Hezi Levy, was interviewed this morning by the GLC and commented on the state of the disease.
"The morbidity is worrying, there is an increase in the infection rate of 1.16, there is an increase in the number verified daily even though their rate is still relatively constant, although if we get out of control and the infection rate continues to rise, we will have to go back or limit the run forward."
Regarding the education system: "The government has made a value decision and it is very important to bring students to schools, even the upper grades. "Still the opening is too fast and we'll have to do some thinking, and that's what we're doing now.
"There are a number of tools to deal with the disease, not necessarily closure," Prof. Levy noted.
"There are various restrictions, we are currently debating and thinking about it. An eight-week closure will be very difficult for the economy and the people. We must do everything we can to limit the crowd and increase in morbidity. It is not a cliché to say that much depends on us and our behavior.
"This unbearable influx (to the commercial centers that have opened - AG) and the behavior without preventing a crowd and without masks and keeping distance - will bring about a closure that we do not want.
"December holds a lot of mines - the celebrations of the Christian New Year, Hanukkah, it is currently on the table, if it is right to limit, if Hanukkah should be made to be celebrated only in the arms of the family and not in mass celebrations"
