US rapper Lil Nas X used the corona break to find himself.

“In terms of personal development, it was probably the best year of my life.

I've got to know myself better and have become more self-confident, «said the 21-year-old from the dpa news agency.

The musician, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, had a worldwide hit last year with his country rap song "Old Town Road".

The song combines elements of traditional country with the latest hip-hop varieties such as trap - and broke the record for the longest time at the top of the US singles charts.

Lil Nas X also made headlines in 2019 because he spoke about his homosexuality for the first time - as one of only a few rappers.

He would have been very pleased with the many positive reactions.

“I'm more confident now than ever before.

There are always phases that are difficult.

But mostly I have a broad chest. "

The two-time Grammy winner, who is also known for his unusual clothing style, is currently in the charts with the single "Holiday".

He wants to release his debut album next year.

»Thanks to the Corona break, I was finally able to work on new music and didn't have to keep performing and traveling.

That did me quite good. "
