"We will remember her as the happy, rebellious, charismatic and loving woman; faithful accomplice of her granddaughters and sons Victor Manuel and Edith, of whom she was an eternal companion and with whom she is surely already reunited in the peace of God," he adds.

Likewise, it is explained that Edith's mother died due to chronic diseases that had developed and worsened during her last year of life.

In addition, it was revealed that due to the situation of the pandemic, funeral services would only be for the family.

Various Mexican media confirmed that Doña Ofelia had long suffered from a deep depression due to the loss of her daughter, who died on June 13, 2019 from cancer.
