The funeral with 100 participants ended in a mass infection event in Corona
Not that we needed more proof, but the corona virus does not really matter what family event you are celebrating - if there is a patient in the audience, you can be sure that it will infect others.
So too did the funeral that began with the good intentions of people to pay their last respects, and ended with people fighting for their lives

More than a hundred people came to the funeral home in Texas this month to pay their last respects to Nancy Kadetz.
Now, 42 of them have been found positive for the corona virus - including her daughter.
The youngest patient is 3 years old and the oldest is 90 years old, KDFW reports.
"We definitely want other people to learn from what we did not know was a mistake," said her daughter, Delinda Cruz.
She said most people wore masks at a funeral service, but did not maintain social distance.
Cruz is troubled that the ceremony has become a mass contagion event.
"It's scary to know I could have been the one who infected my 90-year-old aunt," Cruz said, "or I could have been the one who infected a 3-year-old boy, or I could have been the one who infected my cousin who was fighting for his life in those moments."

The Texas Department of Health is conducting an epidemiological follow-up to try and locate all the contacts of those who attended the funeral.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said the number of funeral attendants during the epidemic should be re-examined.
Last October, the CDC updated its guidelines on what to do after exposure to someone diagnosed as positive for the virus, following a study that found that covid-19 infection can occur even after a minute.
The new directive, which also dictates how U.S. authorities conduct the locating of verified patients, says that anyone who has been in the aggregate patient for at least 15 minutes in the vicinity of a verified patient for a period of 24 hours will be required to be isolated.

The Hillsborough Funeral Home, which is supposed to operate at a 75 percent capacity, has not responded so far, although in videos from the funeral the place looks full of word of mouth.
"In some situations many people contracted COVID-19 after attending a funeral," the CDC guidelines read.
Now, Cruz is ill and has not yet recovered, and her family just wants others to learn a lesson from their case, especially ahead of the upcoming holiday season.
