The news fell at the end of a crisis meeting at the Elysee Palace.
The majority will propose "a new writing" of the disputed article 24 of the proposed law on global security, announced Monday the boss of the LREM group Christophe Castaner.
"We know that doubts still persist" and "we must put out these doubts" because "when such a misunderstanding continues to intensify on such a fundamental subject, we have a duty to collectively question ourselves", explained Christophe Castaner .
"There is vagueness and therefore perhaps a wolf", conceded the former Minister of the Interior, assuring however that it was "neither a withdrawal nor a suspension" of the text.
