.

offers
again

Corona
, the willingness to buy has decreased.
Update from Friday, November 27th,
2020
, 4:25 p.m.:
Will
Black Friday 2020
flop
due to the
Corona crisis
?
According to the extensive study “Global Black Friday Forecast” by the Simon-Kucher management consultancy, this is at least a threat.
In addition, there is the
purchase-nix-day
on Saturday, which has followed
Black Friday for years, and
is intended to sensitize
people to
more sustainable buying behavior
.
However,
according to Matthias Fifka, economist at the University of Erlangen, little of this is noticeable
in times of the
corona pandemic
.
His assessment: The buying behavior on the day after Black Friday will not change for the time being, despite the Corona crisis.

Cyber Monday 2020: Willingness to buy decreases due to Corona
The willingness to buy has decreased significantly across Europe.
Only half of all respondents plan to
shop
on the
bargain
days across Germany.
The budget also
shrank
on
Black Friday
and
Cyber Monday
compared to the previous year.
Consumers plan on an average of 205 euros for the two bargain days.
In the previous year it was 242 euros - around 40 euros more.
In other countries, too, such as Italy or Spain, the willingness to pay has decreased.
Online shopping
was already very popular in 2019.
Unsurprisingly, the
corona pandemic
shows that
more than half of those surveyed plan to buy mostly or exclusively online.
Only 14 percent want to support local providers on site.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2020: Consumers often buy spontaneously - even in Corona times
Consumers prefer to shop for
electrical goods
(65 percent),
clothes
(42 percent) and small
household appliances
