Cinecittà in a click, the charm of cinema comes home

ROME - Federico Fellini's world of dreams and illusions, through his masterpieces, from La Dolce Vita to Il Casanova; the myth of Sergio Leone, master of the western, and the fascinating atmosphere of Once upon a time in America; the great masters of costume, from Piero Tosi to Danilo Donati, told in a virtual tour. And again, the journey to discover ancient Rome, directly on the largest permanent set of Cinecittà; the precious clothes and the scenographic elements of the film Pinocchio by Roberto Benigni; the "behind the scenes" professions and special effects to understand the most likely fiction that exists, and finally, the whole history of cinema from its origins to the present day, between colors and moving images. Not even the enclosure imposed by the health emergency is able to break the enchantment and suggestions of the seventh art, thanks to "Cinecittà in a click" and "Miac in a click", the two cycles of digital narratives on cinema created and promoted by the Institute Luce Cinecittà scheduled from 1 December to 5 January. Sets, memorabilia, curiosities, multimedia languages, exhibition itineraries in the Miac, the Italian Audiovisual and Cinema Museum housed in the Studios, will enter directly into the houses and will be available on any medium, from smartphone to PC: just connect to the official social profiles of Cinecittà si Mostra, Miac, and Istituto Luce Cinecittà (Facebook, Instagram and YouTube), where two video contents for adults and families will be released every week from 1 December, for a total of 11 appointments. On Tuesday the virtual tours will be dedicated to the Cinecittà si Mostra and Felliniana - Ferretti dreams of Fellini exhibitions, while on Wednesday the spotlight will move to the Miac, the museum that among films, video installations and multimedia and multisensory games reveals 120 years of cinema, radio and television. : to conduct the various stories there will be museum mediators and special storytellers who will take on the role of a fairy with blue hair and a nice ancient Roman. Particular attention in the videos is paid to the educational aspect, to make the little ones understand the extraordinary heritage kept in the Miac, with ad hoc content curated by the educational department of Cinecittà si Mostra - Istituto Luce Cinecittà in collaboration with Untitled - Projects open to culture (some contents are also made in LIS, the sign language for the Italian deaf public).
