(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 1 - The second pandemic of the century is one year old: on December 1 in the Chinese city of Wuhan a man showed the symptoms of what was then a mysterious and nameless pneumonia.
It was the origin of the Covid-19 pandemic which has so far caused more than 63 million and almost 1.5 million victims worldwide.
In Italy, the cases totaled over 1.6 million and over 55,000 lawless.
The date of December 1, referring to the appearance of symptoms, was identified on January 24, 2020 in a retrospective study published by The Lancet.
