Ecofin agreement for the exchange of information on digital income

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 1 - Ecofin has reached an agreement on the DAC7 directive, the proposal of the EU Commission that extends the automatic exchange of information between member states also to digital platforms.

This was announced by the Minister of Economy, Roberto Gualtieri, on Twitter, saying he was satisfied with the result.

"More exchange of information and transparency on income generated through the intermediation of digital platforms and more cooperation between European tax authorities. An important step forward against tax evasion and avoidance", writes the minister.
